Ray-Ban Stories are the latest in a line of smartglasses released by major companies including Snap Inc and Google and are designed as one component of Facebook’s plans for a metaverse. Unlike other smart glasses, the Ray-Ban Stories do not include any HUD or AR head-mounted display.
Ray-Ban is a brand of luxury sunglasses and eyeglasses created in 1936 by Bausch & Lomb. The brand is best known for its Wayfarer and Aviator lines of sunglasses. In 1999, Bausch & Lomb sold the brand to Italian eyewear conglomerate Luxottica Group for a reported $640 million.
The sunglasses were redesigned with a metal frame in 1939 and promoted by Bausch & Lomb as the Ray-Ban Aviator. According to the BBC , the glasses used "Kalichrome lenses designed to sharpen details and minimise haze by filtering out blue light, making them ideal for misty conditions."

It's literally an epidemic on sites like Facebook. Every day you see someone with either a phished account or a completely fake account sharing free Ray Ban scams. I can't believe that the company is in no way involved. Someone has to be getting paid by someone at Ray Ban to do these things.
