Bose going backward

These are a disappointment. This is my 3rd pair of Bose earbuds and each pair has moved backward. The good: 1) Very good sound quality. Much better than two other brands (similar price) I have tried and then returned. The bad: 1) Unreliable pairing. Almost half the time they have to go back in the case and I need to try again to get them to successfully pair. 2) Incomplete pairing. I have had issues where the earbud pair but do not actually play, just silence. 3) Unreliable unpairing. Half the time I need to go into my device (ipad and iphone) and manually disconnect the device go get it to unpair. 4) Touch sensitive surfaces are easily spoofed by hats or hoods. I have dogs and cannot use these with my rain coat hood as the earbuds consider the incidental jacket contact to be stop/start or skip commands. 5) My first two Bose earbud cases had 4 or 5 lights that indicated case charge. More lights = more charge. This case has only one ambiguous light that is either white or yellow. 6) Noise canceling only effective on constant background noise like airplanes or cars. Not very effective against lawn mowers, or voices.

All Good Except on Video Calls

First of all, I am a big fan of Bose, so please keep that in mind as you read this. For the most part, these earbuds are great. The noise cancellation is fantastic (much better than my wired Bose pair from about 10 years ago); in fact, I've had them in and couldn't hear my wife talking to me from three feet away (honest -- I couldn't hear her; I wasn't ignoring her!). The music quality is excellent as well. It does take a while to get used to the commands via touch, such as switching from "quiet" to "aware", and increasing or decreasing the volume, and I'll say I haven't found the Bose app to be helpful at all, but these are relatively minor issues, as they easily outperform Airbuds in NC and sound quality. The reason I only give it 4 stars is I cannot trust these phones when on a video call. I've had them suddenly stop working on one call, and on another I couldn't get the microphone to work. Most of my calls are external calls with clients, so I can't trust that these will work on those calls and thus feel I must use an alternative set of headphones.

No Comfort

It is probably my weird ears, but the "in ear" headphones even with multiple configuration options just are not comfortable. IF you can make them comfortable then these are great! Noise cancelling is awesome, sound is awesome. Using them for office zoom meetings and the sound and mic are both superior. Just can't make them comfortable for more than 15 minutes or so..Back to my old Bose over the ears, looking like an air traffic controller on meetings. Well, I tried, good for short meetings I guess.

Cons: Can't get them to fit well, tried every combo they offer.

Hearing vs listening

When I read Jeff Miller's review of the QC II, especially the part about reducing lawnmower noise "to a gentle purr," I was intrigued, though a little skeptical. I own four different brands of headphones and earbuds with active noise cancellation, and can only technically "hear" music over my garden tractor, but with these, it was a far-away rattle-the difference between hearing music and listening to it, with depth and detail similar to listening in a quiet room. A few nits to pick: why are some of these buds so hard to wrestle out of the case? The Bose case has a hefty magnet, as does my Sony WF-1000XM3s, but where the Sonys fit flat in the case and require fingernails to peel them loose, the Boses are at a weird angle, so it's hard to get a good grip to remove them. Setup was pretty smooth. Connection usually goes well, with occasional hiccups. Sometimes, only one earbud connects. Putting them back in the case usually fixes this. Once, I got the tone and charge message when I put them in my ears, but the music would only play thru the iPhone speaker. The app would say "connecting" and then a link to "connection help" would pop up. This happened three or four times, until I went into Bluetooth settings and connected that way. Maybe an app issue. I like that the touch gestures to pause or skip tracks work on both buds. But I can't get the hang of adjusting the volume; they always think think the slide is a tap and pause the music. Audio quality from a sound company

After a canine incident with my apple AirPod Pro II's, I decided to leave the garden and purchase an alternative. I chose the Klipsch True Wireless II McLaren edition - so beautiful - but the right bud never charged. So, returned those and ... onto the QC II. Wow! There's no comparison in sound with the AirPods - these are a whole new ballgame. Excellent sonics! The noise cancelling is really good, and something I need to turn off it certain situations for safety reasons (e.g. walking near traffic). Every adjustment seems to result in some kind of audio prompt - changing noise cancelling modes announces the new mode. This is really cool. Until it's not. But maybe I can turn that off. I only bought these last week, but I've had no security/stability issues. Still, it only takes one earbud falling into the toilet next month and I consider this a fail. Perhaps I should comment ... yet.
Pros: Great sound Good for high quality audio, as well as voice calls/conferences.
Cons: Minor annoyance with some of the sound prompts (maybe configurable?)

Sound great work good FOR me in all surroundings very quite in both modes actually. My only issue with the Bose they couldn't decide witch mode to stay in with a low frequency distortion while I'm using them on my motorcycle . Therfore I decided too send them back considering that was the only reason I purchased them was for cross country riding

One of the earbuds has failed to charge several times. And will not charge now. If you need to find the serial number, good luck! Even with a magnifying glass I could not read it.

The noise cancelling and sound quality is excellent. The only issues I have are the battery life, which isn't great and it does occasionally decide it no longer wants to pair with my iPhone 12. Then I have to put them back in the case and try again or worse, pair and unpair through the Bose music app. I wish I knew what occasionally gets into them. It's really frustrating when it happens.
Pros: Noise cancelling is excellent as is sound quality for music or phone calls.

The sound of the ear buds are good. The app stability is very poor, often times having to put them back in the case to reconnect to change any settings. Lastly the fit options for the ears are terrible, constantly fell out of my ears (after trying all the fit options). Wasn't a huge deal while listening to music or a book, but final straw was being on hold for 30 minutes on a call and then the bud falling out of my ear thus disconnecting my phone call.

These earbuds are by far the worst product I've purchased from Bose. They often don't charge completely. There's been connection issues despite rebooting or using the app. The latest is that they are connected to my phone but nothing is coming from through the earbuds. Horrible!! I should have gone with Apple even though I hate the brand!

For such a small overall size, the sound quality is amazing. The bass really resonates and the highs are super clear. I like the ability to quickly switch from full noise-cancelling to 'aware' mode. The installed silicone sizing was perfect for my ear size. Only downside so far is that they only have the capability of being actively paired to one device at a time. My last pair of Bose headphones could be connected to two at a time. Also, I don't think the case is wireless chargeable. Not a deal-breaker though. I'm happy with these headphones for the price.

Excellent Headphones

I originally bought these to listen to music while using my rowing machine but have since starting using them in my shop as well. They are extremely comfortable, to the point that I almost forget I'm wearing them. The noise cancelling properties are excellent even when using loud tools like a random orbital sander or angle grinder and on top of that, the sound quality is excellent as to be expected from Bose. No regrets at all, these are one of the best audio purchases I have made in years.

Very disappointed in the quality of this product. The ear buds are amazing. Can't say enough about them. But I was extremely surprised when I dropped the case by mistake, no more than 2 foot above the floor, and the hinge that held the case lid on snapped and broke off! The hinge is made of a very thin hard plastic, and it snapped right in half, rendering my earbuds useless! Fortunately, Crutchfield is an amazing store and replaced the earbuds without question. But very disappointed in the quality of the case for a Bose product at this price. Bose, you guys have some work to do on this! Match the quality of the case to the earbuds...please!

I was searching for "the best" in ear wireless noise cancelling headphones. I reviewed Sony, JBL, and many others and came to the conclusion that the Bose may be my best choice. In addition, the reviews and product descriptions at Crutchfield went a long way to insuring my decision. Ordering, shipping, and follow up by Crutchfield is world class and better then the huge big boys, we all know who they are. Again, another perfect experience with Crutchfield and the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II exceeded my expectations for running, gym, plane travel and most of all, sonic quality They are incredible.

I bought these for my wife. She would never buy quality private listening devices for herself. She seems very excited with them after wearing them and watching movies. Making her happy makes me happy and these did the job. I kind of miss her not responding to me while I am watching a ho-hum (to her) tv program. Apparently, excellent noise cancelation. I want to buy some to replace my apple air pod (third generation)

Really great quality, sounds good the noise cancelling part is my favorite, the only down part is a lil big for smaller ears. I got for my wife she loves em, they fit my ears but hers r smaller then mine. She said they don't fall out when she's working out that they feel a lil bulky.

These earbuds improve over the previous model pretty much everywhere except the noise canceling category. They are more comfortable and sound better to me and I like their controls better. I have the previous model of these earbuds and bought these thinking they would have improved noise canceling technology, they don't.

Bose QCII vs Airpods Pro 2

So I am bought these Earbuds since I've never had a Bose "listening" device before and I needed to replace my AirPods Pro. I can honestly say that I like the Bose QCII better because the sound stage and noise cancellation are worth every dime, you will really hear your music when you're listening to tracks with a full audio profile. That being said, I will be looking at the new AirPods Pro 2 as I use several Apple devices and the integration with them all is without comparison. But right now, Bose has this horse race in hand

Cons: Unless they figure out a way to connect to multiple Apple Devices, the AirPods retains the advantage in this department

I can walk and run, and they sit well. The sound quality is excellent. ANC is not like over-the-ear headphones, but they are great for earbuds.

I like the size and weight of these compared to the original quiet comfort earbuds, but the listening time seems less before the earbuds need charging and the noise cancelling does not seem to be a good. I feel like the Sony earbuds stay in the ear better but do not have as good noise cancelling.

A big win for Bose

Buds are super comfortable, they stay in with the smallest ear tips and largest wings, and the noise canceling is something else. The active mode also does great while outside even in wind. It constantly adjusts so you can always hear the outside world and your music.

The Best!

I bought these ear buds on Thursday. I received them on Friday. I listened to them today (Saturday). They blew my mind! The separation, center stage, and bottom range are all tip notch for this price range. The comfort and security of the buds is great. I listened to songs I've been listening to for months and thought "so that's what he said," or "I never noticed that run or instrument before." I can't recommend these buds enough!
